Rongai/Northern Circuit/Western Breach

Northern CircuitThe Rongai Route is the least trammeled of all the main Kilimanjaro Routes, and typically merges with the Marangu Route at Kibo Huts.

MEM Tours Africa is offering a variation on this route that that links with the northern circuit, approaching the Western Breach from the west via the lonely Moir Hut, and then summiting after a night at the Crater Camp.

The Northern Circuit is very rarely used, and although this is a climbers option, it is also for those looking for a little bit of solitude on the mountain, and a different perspective on the usual Kilimanjaro Routes.
